Welcome
Meet Britt Piha, CEO of Revival Hair Outreach

Pain into purpose
Brittany "Britt" Nicole Piha's journey into nonprofit work is deeply rooted in her own life story-one marked by loss, hardship, and resilience. Losing her father at the age of 7 and growing up in a single-parent, dysfunctional, broken home, Britt faced significant challenges early on. At just 14 years old, on formal probation, a run away from home, she found herself on the streets experiencing the harsh realities of survival and cycling through the juvenile hall system and spending time in a group home until almost 18. Britt shared, " I was just so lost and broken, trying to fill a void." She recalls having frequent nightmares well into her late 20's- haunted by things she endured while on the streets. Despite these experiences and trials, she was determined to transform her pain into purpose.
Becoming a mother at the young age of 20 to her first daughter and again at 22 to her second daughter, Britt was inspired to make a lasting change. She completed her high school education then went on to graduate from Golden West College in 2011, earning a certificate of completion in Cosmetology becoming a licensed professional. With 14 years of experience in the industry now , Britt has built a career grounded in helping others feel confident and beautiful. In 2019, she took the bold step of opening Free Spirit Salon, a small business and salon suite. As a salon owner for over six years, Britt has used her skills to build a successful business and create a welcoming space for personal transformation.
Most recently, Britt expanded her skills and knowledge by completing a Clinical Medical Assisting program at U.S. Colleges, where she gained valuable hands-on training working in an urgent care setting. This training has equipped her with skills to effectively interact with the public and provide care for at-risk individuals, enhancing her ability to make a positive impact as a community activist. Britt also, substitutes for the nurses office at Calvary Chapel Schools in Costa Mesa to help provide support as needed.
Britt's commitment to helping others deepened during her nearly seven years of volunteering with Life On The Streets Ministry, where she and her volunteers provide haircuts and services to the homeless community. These experiences shaped her vision to launch Revival Hair Outreach in 2024. Through this nonprofit, she is dedicated to restoring dignity, hope and empowerment to individuals facing homelessness, abuse, addiction, mental health challenges and much more.
Motivated by her own struggles and the kindness shown to her by others, Britt's vision for RHO is to create moments for connection and humanity, reminding people that they are not alone but, that they are loved, seen and, valued. Under her leadership, the organization provides not only practical services, but also emotional support and community building opportunities. Through her nonprofit work, Britt is committed to being a light that others were for her-a source of guidance, hope, and love for those walking in the same darkness she felt she walked in for so long. She continues to advocate for the marginalized, believing that RHO can make a difference, one haircut at a time.
